We all know fruit is good for us. But what exactly does a fruit smoothie do for our diet? For starters, fruit is packed FULL of vitamins and minerals. For example, there are several fruits that are known for their Vitamin C like oranges, grapefruit, or any other citrus fruit. And berries such as strawberries, blueberries, and grapes are full of antioxidants that help to fight off diseases.

Smoothies are not only packed full of nutritious fruit, but they are also sweet and delicious! Smoothies are wildly popular due to their rich flavor and wide variety. There are not many foods out there that can kill cravings and reduce calories at the same time – two birds, one stone.
My personal favorite is the Caramel Apple Smoothie. Yummy! I’ll make sure to drop the free recipe for this smoothie at the end of this blog post, so keep an eye out for it! You don’t want to miss out.

In my peak pound shedding days, I made two smoothies a day (for breakfast & lunch) for about three weeks, and guess what happened? During that period alone I lost over 20+ pounds. Incredible!
**Warning**
Smoothies are a great addition to your diet. However, they should only be used as a meal replacement. If you treat smoothies as a snack, or in addition to a meal, you can bump your daily calorie intake quite a bit. We certainly don’t want that! So make sure you implement smoothies the right way, and you are sure to feel lighter in no time!
